Sow What You’ve Reaped

1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

When we got born again, God gave us His love. In  the moment we accepted Him into our hearts, we received His perfect love. Romans 5:5 says And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. So, we see that we have the love of God IN us, but unless it is expressed it doesn’t do any good. It must be revealed through word and deed to be of any benefit.

One day I heard the Lord say to me, “You must sow what you’ve reaped.” For a moment I thought that was strange. I’ve always heard it the other way around, You reap what you sow. Then I saw it so clearly- I have reaped God’s love, forgiveness, mercy, peace, grace, and every other benefit of the cross. How then can I withhold those things from any person on the earth?

Matthew 18:22-35 tells the story of a servant who was deeply in debt to his master. He begged for mercy and the master forgave him of his debt. The servant then went to another man who owed him far less than the amount he had been forgiven and demanded immediate repayment. When the man was unable to repay him, the servant had him thrown in prison. The master heard what had happened and called the wicked servant before him, and dealt harshly with him because he had been forgiven such a great debt, but did not extend that same forgiveness. Jesus made it clear that the servant was not sowing what he reaped and therefore not only lost his position, but was made to repay his debt.

The greatest thing we can remember, is that we reaped it all from Jesus. Focus on that, and even when it seems an individual is undeserving, sow to them what you have received. When you sow what you’ve reaped, God’s grace will override your feelings, and keep you in perfect love and freedom for your life!

Your Destiny Must Be By Design- Part 2

Luke 14:28-32

28For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? 29Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, 30Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.

31Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand? 32Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.

In part one we talked about how you have to find God’s plan for your life. So often we see those who have no plan at all, they are just wandering around aimlessly in their lives. They have settled on a “default” plan for their lives. God has a plan for your DESTINY in Him but if you don’t actively seek after that plan the default button will be set in motion. Other times we see people on their own path, following their own plan, based upon their own ideas. This is dangerous too, because when things get hard, when the going gets rough, they just stop and they never fulfill their God-given purpose.

When you understand that God’s plan is the best plan for your life, you will actively seek that plan. To be a disciple means to be a learner or a student or pupil. If we are in constant fellowship with the master of the plan, studying to learn His direction for our lives, we will never be steered wrong.

When you are following the leader it’s easy to stay on course, to not get off track and to not get lost. It’s when you try to be the leader of your life and you don’t know where you are going that you can get off course. Always remember that the Holy Spirit loves you too much to send you in the wrong direction, so when He speaks learn to instantly obey!

Your Destiny Must Be By Design- Part 1

Luke 14:26-33

26If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. 27And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

33So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

The first thing we must remember is that Jesus wants  to make sure He is the first in our life and He wants us to love Him with all our heart.  To reach your Destiny you’re going to have to Design your plan. This passage makes it clear if you don’t have a plan, you won’t finish. You may wonder how to do this. I’m going to give you a couple practical steps to designing your destiny.

1) You must make sure your plan is Gods plan.  So many people are out of place with God because they are following there own plan rather than His. When you are following your own plan the Grace (God’s ability in you allowing you to do what you could not do by yourself) is not there for your mission. When it’s God’s plan His power will be there to help you get it done.

2)You must count the cost. People often say they are willing but when it gets a little difficult they stop. If you recognize that it will not always be easy, and continue to persevere through the rough spots, you will see your destiny come to pass.

When you are obedient to God’s plan and His way of doing things through His word and prayer His way will become clearer in your life.
